Susan Thomas IGIDR

Dr. Susan Thomas is currently a faculty member at the Indira Gandhi Institute for Development Research (IGIDR), Bombay. Her research has been in the econometrics of financial markets including modelling volatility of prices and analysing the microstructure of Indian financial markets. She has also served as a member of various committees constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on bankruptcy, secondary markets, government securities and foreign exchange. She completed her graduate studies in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, and her Ph. D in Econometrics from University of Southern California, Los Angeles
