Rafe Mazer FSD Kenya

Rafe Mazer is a consumer protection and competition in financial services consultant based out of Nairobi. His work utilizes policy analysis combined with behavioural research methods to develop new and more effective approaches to financial consumer protection and competition policy. His research has explored key consumer protection issues such as product disclosure, sales practices and incentives, data privacy, dispute resolution mechanisms, and the impact of digital delivery channels on consumer behaviour in products such as consumer lending. His work to date includes research in markets such as Ghana, Kenya, Mexico, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Peru, the Philippines, Tanzania and Uganda.
