Nandini Vijayaraghavan is the Director & Head of Research at the Singapore office of Korea Development Bank. She has over two decades experience working at Indian and multi-national banks and credit rating agencies, conducting credit research of Asia Pacific banks and corporates and structuring bilateral, syndicated, club and mezzanine debt facilities. Nandini’s columns on the economy and corporate finance have been published by The BusinessLine, Economic & Political Weekly, Financial Express, and The Hindu. She has also co-authored business case studies with the faculty of Singapore Management University and Nanyang Technological University.
Nandini and Umesh Desai, the former fixed income correspondent of Thomson Reuters, penned Singapore’s first corporate biography, The Singapore Blue Chips, published by World Scientific Publishing Company in January 2017. Penguin RandomHouse published Nandini’s debut India-centric non-fiction book – Unfinished Business: Evolving Capitalism in The World’s Largest Democracy – in January 2023.
Nandini holds masters degrees in Economics and Finance from Tufts University, USA, and the London Business School respectively and is a CFA charter holder. Her research interests include the linkages between the Indian macroeconomy and the corporate sector, state owned entities reform, credit rating assessments and methodologies, and architecture of credit rating agencies.
