Niyati is a Senior Research Associate with the Household Finance Research Initiative. She completed her Master’s in Economics from Ashoka University, wherein for her dissertation, she worked on developing a theoretical model to study the problem of self-control with respect to social influence.

Prior to joining Dvara Research, she worked with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, as a consultant and worked on the collection and compilation of the Index of Industrial Production. Following her interest in impact based economic research, she interned with ICRIER, McKinsey & Co., and FICCI in the space of Economic Affairs and Effects of Consumer Finance on Financial Inclusion.
