Dvara Research Foundation is a non-profit and independent policy research institution in Chennai. Our mission is to ensure that every household and every enterprise has complete access to suitable financial services and social security through a range of channels that enable them to use services securely and confidently.
All our research outputs are available on www.dvararesearch.com for public good. When you access this website and /or any of our other digital platforms (“Platform”) and engage with us, certain personal and professional data gets collected in the process. This privacy policy is designed to help you understand how Dvara Research collects information when you visit our Platform and how it uses and discloses that information. Your information that is collected by Dvara Research may include Personal Information and/or Sensitive personal data or information and consists of information that is (“Personal Data”):

What information about you is collected ?
- Two types of information may be collected on this website/Our Platforms –

- When you access / request for information on our website/Platform, and/or engage with us through the Platform, you automatically give us an unconditional right to and consent for collection, storage, and use of certain information and Personal Data relating to you (including information which would qualify as personal information, sensitive personal information etc. under various applicable laws) that you provide (including any changes thereto as provided by you) for accessing the Platform, that may include but not be limited to the following (with an ability to opt-out subject to conditions):

- Contact forms: By filling in the contact form, you authorize us to use these details to reply to requests for information, quotes or any other kind of request as indicated by the form’s header. Personal Data collected in this process may include company name, country, email address, first name and last name.
- Newsletter and mailing list: By registering on the mailing list or subscribing to our newsletter, your email address will be added to the contact list of those who receive email messages from us. Personal Data collected in this process will include email address, first name and last name.
- Reports and other research outputs: By clicking to download a report or a paper on the website and filling in the contact form, you authorize us to use these details to reply to requests for information. Personal Data collected in this process may include name, job title and email address.
- Anonymised data: You may provide us, directly or indirectly, with information pertaining to you for use in our programs, research, and studies etc., including audio or video recordings of you, after scrubbing or anonymizing any Personal Data, by our service provider/facilitators.

3. General user information that does not contain Personal Data:
- To enable us to provide a better experience to you or for you to access the Platform, certain unidentifiable information may be collected using various technologies, such as cookies, tags, and IP addresses. Your browser automatically transmits to us some of this unidentifiable information. These kinds of information include your computer’s connection to the internet, mobile number, your IP address, demographics, login data, time zone, location, your computer’s name, your computer’s operating system, and browser type, browser version, CPU speed and connection speed and other technology on devices you use to access the Platform/services and information about how you use the Platform/services. How we use the information collected ?

- To protect legitimate interests of any of the Dvara / third party, and where your statutory rights and interests do not override our interests
- To pursue breaches of any terms applicable to you
- May be shared within its group companies and officers and employees of such group companies and/or third-party service providers, on a need-to-know basis, for the purpose of processing Personal Data on its behalf.

We may provide access to your Personal Data when legally required to do so, to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings or for the purpose of verification of identity, for the prevention, detection, investigation including cyber incidents, or for prosecution and punishment of offences.

How safe is your data ?
- We use reasonable security measures to protect information from unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and help ensure the appropriate use/disclosure of Information.
- We host the Platform in a secure server environment that uses firewalls and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders.
- However, as effective as our security measures are, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the internet.
- Any information you include in a posting to the discussion areas is available to anyone with internet access.

Our website contains links to third-party sites as well as to other sites owned and operated by Dvara Holdings, our parent organization. Dvara Research is not responsible for the privacy practices and policies of any third-party websites. Once you leave our servers (you can tell where you are by checking the URL in the location bar on your browser), use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the application/platform you are visiting.
Retaining your information
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as (a) we have your consent, or (b) necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or (c) necessary to maintain reasonable business records and/or as required under applicable laws, or (d) we have an ongoing relationship with you, and you continue to access/use the Platform.
