Dvara Research hosted a webinar on its action-research study, Advancing Women’s Entrepreneurship: The Role of Digital Money Management Tool on 19 August 2026
This qualitative study explores how Women Nano Entrepreneurs (WNEs) manage household and business finances in their everyday lives. Based on iterative fieldwork with woman nano entrepreneurs in rural Punjab and urban Tamil Nadu, the research documents their money management practices and challenges, and classifies them into three types – Gung-Ho, Rooted, and Tepid Entrepreneurs – based on distinct psychological, behavioural, and capability markers. It also presents a digital bookkeeping solution enhanced with a new household finance module tested with entrepreneurs that lets them track both their business and household finances in one place.
The webinar presented the study’s research approach, key findings, the proposed typology, its operationalization, and users’ experience with the digital bookkeeping application.
