Professor Ajay Shah is a Professor at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), Delhi, well-known for his pioneering work in capital markets and the financial services sector in India and his prolific writings on these subjects. Earlier he was a consultant at the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi and an Associate Professor at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai. A Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Southern California, he has published several research papers, articles, and books, as well as a widely read and highly appreciated blog.
