I ndia has had a long history of attempting to solve the problem of fnancial exclusion and to bring its citizens, their households, and their enterprises under the fold of formal fnancial services. Despite a combination of interventions and institutional reforms introduced to accelerate the process of fnancial inclusion, India has a long road to cover.
